UPDATE: C.J. Wallis took to Twitter to inform Mac Miller fans that the scheduled documentary is being shelved indefinitely following the late rapper’s estate request. Read the explanation below.

ORIGINAL STORY: Filmmaker and hip-hop music video director CJ Wallis is currently working on

a “definitive” documentary focusing on the life of the late rapper Mac Miller. His company Margrette Bird Pictures is starting pre-production on the untitled film, with Wallis taking to Twitter to ask fans who they think would be a good fit for interviews. Many have answered with the likes of Anderson .PaakScHoolboy QThundercatVince Staples and Earl Sweatshirt, while some have suggested his parents and ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande.

Miller passed in September 2018 from an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol. He was 26.
